Why run for Verve

We were on your side of the load first.

Verve started from the carrier side of this business. That is why our confirmations are specific, our detention gets paid, and our rates are grounded in what it actually costs to run the miles.

Fast pay without the runaround

Standard terms are quick and predictable. Quick pay is available on request. Send a clean invoice with the signed bill of lading and it moves.

Loads that fit your lanes

Tell us your home base, your equipment and the lanes you want. We call when we have freight that fits instead of blasting every truck in the network.

Rate confirmations that say what they mean

Accessorials, detention, layover and tarp pay written on the confirmation before you roll. No surprises at invoice time.

Dispatch that treats you like a partner

Detention gets paid when it is documented. Nobody at Verve is going to argue about two hours you actually sat. We want the same trucks back next week.

Requirements

What it takes to get set up.

The 90 day authority minimum exists because of double brokering and carrier identity fraud, not because of anything against new carriers. Clear the bar and we want to hear from you.

  • Active MC and DOT authority

Established a minimum of 90 days, in good standing with the FMCSA.

  • $1,000,000 auto liability

Current certificate of insurance with Verve Freight named as certificate holder.

  • $100,000 cargo insurance

Higher limits required for high value commodities. No unresolved cargo exclusions.

  • Clean safety record

Satisfactory or unrated safety rating, with acceptable CSA BASIC scores.

  • Signed carrier agreement

Our standard broker carrier agreement, plus a completed W-9 and notice of assignment where applicable.

The packet

Five documents and you are running.

Send us these

  • Completed carrier profile with your MC and DOT numbers
  • Certificate of insurance listing Verve Freight as certificate holder
  • Signed broker carrier agreement
  • W-9
  • Notice of assignment if you factor your invoices

Email everything to operations@vervefreight.com or use the form below. Most carriers are approved within one business day.

How we work with you

  • Rate confirmation before you roll, with accessorials, detention, layover and tarp pay written in
  • Documented detention gets paid. Log your in and out times and tell us while you are sitting
  • Clean invoice plus signed bill of lading starts the clock. Quick pay available on request
  • Tell us your home base and lanes and we call you first on freight that fits
  • No double brokering. Ever. The load you accept is the load you haul

Carrier FAQ

Setup, pay and how we dispatch.

Send your carrier packet to operations@vervefreight.com or call (713) 814-3977. We need your completed carrier profile with MC and DOT numbers, a certificate of insurance listing Verve Freight as certificate holder, a signed broker carrier agreement, a W-9, and a notice of assignment if you factor. Setup is typically completed within one business day.

Active MC and DOT authority established for a minimum of 90 days, $1,000,000 in auto liability coverage, $100,000 in cargo coverage, a clean safety record with acceptable CSA scores, and a signed carrier agreement. Higher cargo limits are required for high value commodities.

The clock starts the day we receive a clean invoice with the signed bill of lading and any required supporting documents, not the day you deliver. Your exact standard terms and the quick pay option are stated on your carrier agreement and confirmed with you during setup, before you haul your first load. Send a complete document package and you get paid on the earliest date your terms allow.

We require authority established for at least 90 days. That threshold exists because of double brokering and identity fraud, not because of anything against new carriers. Once you hit 90 days with clean insurance and a clean record, we want to hear from you.

Yes, when it is documented. Record your arrival and departure times, get them signed on the bill of lading or captured in the tracking app, and notify us while you are sitting rather than after you deliver. Accessorials are written into the rate confirmation before you roll.

Yes. Tell us your home base, your equipment and the lanes you want to run, and we will call you when we have freight that fits instead of blasting a load to every truck in the network. Carriers who run for us reliably get first call on the freight they told us they wanted.

Empty miles cost more than a phone call.

Tell us your home base and your equipment. If we have freight that fits, you will hear from us.
